Buying political influence can be an expensive venture in American politics, and these five organizations know that reality best. The US Chamber of Commerce, a conglomerate representing the interests of more than three million businesses, outspends all other organizations by a mile. At nearly 75 million dollars, they double the lobbying expenditure of the National Association of Realtors.
This is a critical issue, but these five are just a sliver of the problem. Look at this problem by industry instead:
