In a study of the divisive political ideology that currently grips America, Pew Research found that the polar ends of the spectrum consistently preferred opposite 'ideal' community organization. Liberals preferred modest house size and close proximity to their neighbors and local services, while conservatives preferred large houses and relative isolation.
