In the opinion of the majority of Americans, it is time for the Democrats and Republicans to share the spotlight. According to a recent study by Gallup, six in ten Americans (and nearly eight in ten Independents) believe that the US's two party system no longer adequately represents the interests of all Americans. Instead, they are advocating for the emergence of a third major political party in addition to the current two. What will be the platform of this party, however, is still largely up for debate.
