When Americans were asked to explain the large number of political sex scandals, 57% said politicians just get caught more often because they're under greater scrutiny. Only 19% of Americans thought the scandals occurred because politicians have lower moral standards than ordinary Americans. Older Americans were more likely to attribute the scandals to low morals.
