The majority of U.S. electricity is created by coal, but 13% is created by renewable resources. Of these resources, hydroelectric power is the main source of electricity, followed by wind energy. Biomass energy (wood and waste), thermal energy, and solar energy make up only 17% . However, the future of solar power is bright, as its power is truly limitless.
