In this study, compulsive buyers had higher average credit card balances per respondent when compared to other respondents. The average credit card balance per respondent was $3399 for compulsive buyers compared to $2837 for other respondents. The tendency to have a higher credit card balance might indicate financial mismanagement among compulsive buyers.
