Although 58% of Americans maintain a positive opinion of the United Nations, support varies considerably by political party. Support among Democrats (72%) has increased in recent years and remained relatively stable. Independents (60%) have seen a moderate increase since 2012, while Republicans (41%) continue to see a steady decline.
