One thing is for certain: America faces many pressing concerns. The only problem is that Americans aren't sure which issue to be concerned about. Largely dividing along partisan lines, the challenges that you believe to be most important are strongly correlated with your political ideology. For example, only five percent of Republicans are consider the shrinking middle class to be a significant issue, even though it is the most important concern among Democrats.
