It's not always that bad flipping burgers at McDonald's. These are the countries that pay the most at the minimum. The Netherlands takes the top spot as the country with the greatest minimum wage, at a little over twenty-three thousand dollars a year. By comparison, a full time American employee working for the minimum earns a paltry fifteen thousand annually.
Nearly half the world's population makes under $2 per day (an annual salary of $730). This is yet another one of our "first world problems."
