While politicians often try to appeal to the general American public, this can often be difficult, as different Americans hold different beliefs as sacred. For example, while a significant majority of Republicans say that it is totally unacceptable for a candidate to support Obamacare, only four percent of Democrats concur. Likewise, over half of Democrats claim that not believing in man-made climate change is a deal breaker, but only six percent of Republicans agree.
