Democrats attest voter fraud prevention laws to be fraudulent in themselves, merely a ploy by Republicans to disenfranchise millions of the young, the poor, minority, and other voter groups that generally vote Democratic. An analysis of the total convictions of voter fraud since 2000, 28, suggests this may indeed be the case. In the 11 states that have reported the highest number of voter fraud claims--405, collectively, since 2000-- there have been a mere 16 substantiated cases.
