Approximately 24 million—one of
every eight—voter registrations in the
United States are no longer valid or
are significantly inaccurate. It's also estimated that 51 million eligible U.S. citizens are unregistered, or more than 24 percent of
the eligible population. Is it time to consider an upgrade to our voting system?
Wow, even with so many Americans unregistered to vote, our state lawmakers are fervently working to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands that are, rather than enfranchising the millions that aren't. All the while, voter fraud remains entirely inconsequential in deciding even the closest of elections. Great chart!
