Student debt is apparently a very large setback for both college-educated and not college-educated people in terms of accumulating wealth. Among those with student debt who have graduated from college, the median net worth was actually less than the median among those without a college education and without debt. Therefore, student debt may be a stronger predictor of net worth than one's educational attainment.
