Much of Sub-Sahara Africa and other developing countries fail to educate women. In fact, nearly one in two of the world's "unschooled" girls are found in Africa. Niger's literacy rate for women is a disgraceful 15%. Why? Girls either don't start or drop out of school due to child marriage/motherhood, trafficking, disease, sexual violence and lack of sanitary facilities.
