On Monday, October 6, 2014, the Supreme Court began its session by refusing to hear any of the marriage equality cases presented. This means the decisions of the lower appellate courts against bans on marriage equality stand. Is this lack of action a way to let marriage equality become widespread before ruling on it later? Is Federal reform necessary?
