Texas executes a ridiculous amount of people, averaging 13.5 executions a year. There are four states that have only executed 1 person since 1976 (New Mexico, Colorado, Connecticut, and Wyoming). As a note, I am disappointed that states continue using the death penalty when there is proof that innocent people have been killed and others not yet killed, falsely convicted.
