Quality of life in terms of financial and physical well-being is drastically different for college grads who walked away with no debt, compared to grads with > $50,000 in student loans. The Gallup Well-Being Index measures these elements plus purpose, social, and community. Although high student debt may not necessarily cause lower well-being, this apparent trend needs to be reversed.
