Email newsletters from government organizations have higher open and click rates; but lower bounce and unsubscribe rates than entertainment and event related newsletters. MailChimp scanned millions of emails delivered and calculated the average unique open rates, average unique click rates, average unique soft bounces, average unique hard bounces, and average unique abuse complaint rate by industry.
