Even though less than six percent of cattle loss in the US last year was due to predators, the Wildlife Service spends a hundred million dollars annually to kill over one hundred thousand predators. These killings have not been proven to be effective at reducing losses as 94% of cattle loss comes from things like weather, illness, disease, not predation.
