In order to restore the Bison as a free-roaming wildlife species, we must bring back large herds to their former habitat. Currently, most bison herds, even those in conservation, have split into smaller groups, limiting genetic diversity and weakening the longevity of the species. In all of America only 5 herds have more than 1000 animals.
