White men write 80% of all major publication op-eds. For example, a review of the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal shows that just one-half of one percent of op-eds were written by Latinos; for The Washington Post, that number was 0%. Among those publications, Asian Americans wrote an average of 2%; African Americans roughly 5%.
