The latest market intelligence sees Google’s mobile operating system Android reaching more than 80% global market share for the first time, while Apple seems to be slipping. According to the Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, 261.1 million smartphones shipped worldwide during the third quarter of 2013, representing a 39.9% increase year-on-year. Of these shipments, 81% were Android devices.
