There exists marked differences in the conservative ranking, based on their previous votes on legislation, of Congress members depending on which geographical region their district is in. The trend is consistent in both the House and Senate. Overall, the conservative ranking of male legislators is significantly higher than that of female Congress members: 53 to 36.
