The American government might have a thing for Facebook's user data. According to Facebook's own website, the federal government made a total of 17,577 requests to Facebook for personal user or account information. The vast majority of these requests were from search warrants and subpoenas and approximately 80% of these requests resulted in Facebook providing at least some data to the authorities.
