Water is without a doubt a precious resource, and one in which the world is in short supply. Nevertheless, America consumes about 355,000 million gallons of water each day, with the vast majority of the water - nearly 90 percent - being used to create power, maintain irrigation, and provide for the general public.
In light of the California drought, it would be interesting to compare how America uses water to how California uses water usage and determine whether the trends overlap.
