Although "girl gamers" are becoming more and more prolific in recent years, the gaming industry remains largely male dominated. A significantly larger percentage of boys than girls have access to and play video games. Although girls are generally less likely to play, the video games nevertheless remain popular among the ladies, with a majority of the girls surveyed playing video games either online or on their phone.
