Within the past two decades, there has been a noticeable diminishing or stagnating of support for legal abortion in all or most cases. Only the Mountain West and New England regions reported greater support of any kind, together totaling a 8 percentage point increase in support. Across all other regions, a 29 percentage point decrease.
