When Americans were asked whether they would vote for a candidate who disagreed with them on a certain issue, that candidate's stance on the Affordable Care Act was by far the most decisive factor, given choices that included same-sex marriage, abortion, and immigration. Interestingly, while most Americans support its individual provisions, only 37% are in favor of "Obamacare."
