News organizations received mix reviews in their ability to protect their employers from surveillance, hacking, and the security of their correspondences. Almost a 50/50 split was recorded when journalists were asked if their news organizations do enough to protect them. The respondents were from the non-profit Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE).
