1 in 5 Americans from the Baby Boomer generation (born 1946-1964) has suffered from depression at some point in their lives. A higher percentage may be expected compared to following generations as Boomers have simply lived longer, but that does not explain why Traditionalists have the lowest rates of depression. This peculiarity may be explained by advances in mental health science. What other factors may be at play here?
