Congress is dominated by Protestants, Catholics, and Jews, with collective proportions among members of both houses at roughly 94%. Meanwhile, nationally, their combined share of the population is slightly over three-quarters. The most overrepresented religion is Judaism, with over 6.5 times the number of US Senators affiliated with the religion as US citizens. In the House, this relation is 3x.
