According to a study released by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, richer Americans are giving a smaller percentage of their income since 2006 while poorer Americans are giving a much larger percentage. While Americans that earn over $200,000 still give more in absolute terms, their amount of charitable givings has not caught up to their rapid increases in wealth.
