Blacks are far more likely than Whites to see income-earning as a top priority for both mom & dad. Does this difference in parental role-playing reflect each group's lifestyle? Does this difference impact how children view their parents' respective roles with respect to working outside the home/providing income?
My guess is this is part cultural and part economic. I wonder what happens when you control for household income.
