An analysis of nearly 12,000 academic journal studies has found there to be an overwhelming consensus among scientists that global-warming is manmade. Of those that argued for or against, 97% attributed climate-change to human activity. Notwithstanding, 57% of Americans either disagree or are unaware that most scientists accept this. A Union-for-Concerned-Scientists analysis found Fox and CNN drastically misleading on global-warming.

I feel like this statistic is often portrayed by the media and politicians as if all scientists in the world just simply took a 1-question survey on the topic of climate change when indeed it was an analysis of the thousands of studies conducted on the subject. I feel it only continues to reinforce the notion to always approach what you're told with some sort of skepticism.
