In a recent Pew poll, it was found that the growing number of older people is perceived as posing a considerable risk within certain countries. With the life-extending benefits of modern technology threatening to destabilize social security nets, nearly 9 out of 10 Japanese considered their aging population a "major problem."
While the aging population may be posing a considerable risk they are the ones who have lived and survived and who have the wisdom to ensure future generations survive.
