The Aleppo Prison located in northern Syria has been in contention between rebels and government forces for nearly a year. After several days of increased aerial bombing by the Syrian Government, rebels began a push to liberate the prison which is believed to hold 4,000 refugees. 300 refugees have reportedly been released and 11 rebels have died during the siege.
