New analysis by The Equality Trust of ONS statistics has found that the top fifth of inheritors received over 142 times more than the bottom fifth from 2008-10. ONS statistics also revealed that just 20% of inheritors receive 76% of the total inheritance given, while half of inheritors received less than £10,000.
