While only 7 years ago, three-in-four Americans considered Russia an ally or friendly to the US, that opinion has precipitously declined. For the first time in 15 years, more now view Russia unfavorably. A recent series of international events, including the Syrian civil war and Snowden's asylum, and Russia's restriction on gay rights, may have contributed to this significant decline.
