Without a doubt, Bowe Bergdahl has been a figure of controversy since he disappeared from his stationed military base in 2009. After finally being released from Taliban custody in 2014, Bergdahl is now on trial for his actions. In the court of public opinion, he is resoundingly guilty. A strong majority of Americans believe that Bergdahl is indeed a deserter. If he is convicted, the Sergeant could face up to life in prison.
