Each year, the United States spends about 700 billion dollars on military expenses, a number that rivals the total military expenses of all other nations of the world combined.
Guns or Butter? Less Guns, Lower Deficits only if we re prioritize domestic spending to create jobs and sustainable GDP growth with less debt.
When it comes to certain spending we also import what we export. Export guns and war and war and hate come back at us. Export schools and hospitals and the world will be much happier with who we are.
You should add another sliver in the pie for expenditures paid for imported U.S. weapons from the rest of the world.
That sounds like a great idea for a different chart entirely! Value of weapons exports versus other exports from the United States.
