Well, poverty is essentially at an all time high. Median incomes are relatively flat, but are showing just a bit of growth potential (though I suggest you do not hold your breath). The real interesting point, however, are SNAP benefits. The Obama administration, and other state legislatures, generally expanded the SNAP program. This created more recipients and historically high costs. The trend shows that SNAP costs are positively associated with people in poverty.
