Spam mail represents both an enormous industry and an enormous pain to deal with. Each day, 14.5 billion spam messages are sent globally. While the vast majority pertain to either ads, adult content or finance, a little over one in fifty messages presents significant danger. Phishing (also known as identity theft) is the most frequent fraud committed by spam mailers, making up 73% of all scam-related spam mail.
