JAMA Internal Medicine conducted a study of over 660,000 men and women in order to determine the relationship between exercise level and mortality rate. The researchers compared the mortality risks of those who exercised at the minimum level recommended by the government to the mortality risks of those whose exercise levels exceeded these guidelines. Reduction in mortality rate was highest for those who exercised at 3-5 times the recommended minimum. However, every level of exercise greater than the minimum lead to a reduction in mortality.

Interesting. So what's the minimum recommended?
