As may be expected, the most financially secure Americans are also the most politically active, with 94% of this group being registered voters. On the other hand, barely half of the least financially secure Americans were registered to vote for the midterm elections. With less time or money to engage in the political system, financially insecure Americans are in danger of political disenfranchisement.
