U.S. Veterans Aged 45-64 have less stress than regular civilians. The percentages represent the number of people who said they had experienced stress. Civilians, surprisingly, were witnessed as stressing more.

I would agree with Chris. Veterans were trained to perform under extremely stressful conditions. It would make sense that they would be able to handle the issues they face without exhibiting as many outward signs of anxiety.
