More than 60 million Americans loosely support the idea of their state "peacefully withdrawing" from the Union, with many citing frustration with the Obama Administration and congressional gridlock as chief reasons for their support. There is broader support among Republicans and those living in the South, and less among Democrats and Northeasterners.
