Technological and scientific advancement is an expensive venture. In order to stay ahead of the curve, many countries invest a great deal of money in research and development. Of the ten countries that invest the highest percent of GDP in R&D, Israel leads the pack, spending 4.39 percent of their GDP on developing technological innovation.
