The recent outbreaks of violence in Nigeria have drawn widespread domestic and international condemnation. The Boko Haram militancy rocketed into global news media for their much publicized mass kidnapping of schoolgirls. In response, domestic confidence in authority has fallen off significantly in 2014; confidence in the country's leadership has taken the most dramatic of dives.
