Inflation in the United States has been relatively low and stable as of late, hovering at or slightly below the Fed's target of 2%. Nevertheless, the American public's perception of inflation has remained overwhelmingly negative, with 82% of Americans believing that it is at least a moderately big problem facing the nation.
