Since Hassan Rouhani became Iran's President last year, the country's economic outlook has improved, but the Misery Index (the sum of the inflation, interest, and unemployment rates, minus the annual percentage change in per capita GDP) shows that economic conditions are still bad. Projections of the Misery Index levels suggest that Iranians will remain, well, miserable, for some time.
